VIB currently operates two manufacturing facilities, one in Charlottesville and one in Richmond, where we produce a wide selection of goods for federal, state, and public sector customers.
Virginia Industries for the Blind (VIB) has historically been identified by our manufacturing roots. As early as 1925, VIB was producing mattresses, brooms and caning chairs for our government and commercial customers.
VIB is a primary supplier for a number of notable items including:
- mattresses for Virginia’s universities, state agencies, and the US Navy
- safety apparel for the Virginia Department of Transportation and others
- latex, nitrile, and vinyl gloves for various labs and hospitals
- numerous office, janitorial, and medical supplies for a variety of organizations around the Commonwealth.
